On Wednesday, November 10th, >>venture>> celebrated its traditional opening of the competition with the annual Kickoff event which took place at EPFL in Lausanne.
As part of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week, >>venture>> welcomed approximately 100 curious entrepreneurs to learn more about the competition and network with industry experts.
Ursula Oesterle, EPFL's new VP of Innovation, opened the Kickoff and shared some motivating tips with entrepreneurs who are about to embark on their journeys.
The >>venture>> CEO, Lea Firmin, alongside Marketing and Communications Manager, Priscilla Sarnau, explained what is the >>venture>> foundation, how the competition works, the evaluation criteria and last, but not least, the prizes for participating.
The evening was concluded by an apero where attendees could network with some special guests which included:
>>venture>> Alumni
Abdelaziz Amraoui
Frédéric Lauchenauer
Mauro Lattuada
Tomas Svoboda
Wilma Lukas
Investors

Here are some images from the evening. Please note, everyone in attendance presented a valid Covid certificate.
And we're ready to do it all again!
Due to its major success last year (with over 400 participants!), we are hosting an online Kickoff on November 30th at 6:30pm.
You can reserve your free spot and participate from the comfort of your own home here:
ETH VP Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations, Vanessa Wood, will kick things off and as usual, we'll have a short introduction to the startup competition.
We also have the honor of welcoming Molecular Partners CEO, Patrick Amstutz, who is a >>venture>> winner and Advisory Board member himself. He will shed some light on starting and scaling a company as well as some tips and tricks he's picked up along the way.
And, it wouldn't be a >>venture>> event if we didn't have some great networking opportunities for you! We'll spend the rest of the evening chatting away with experienced mentors and jurors, investors, alumni and some important players in the startup ecosystem.
